CoinGlass API vs Crypto Data API
CoinGlass has the deepest derivatives API of anyone we compared: open interest, funding, liquidations, long/short ratios, order-book heatmaps, ETF flows for six products, and a WebSocket liquidation stream, across many exchanges. It has no free tier, though, its $29 and $79 plans are for personal use, commercial use starts at $299 a month, and its liquidation heatmap needs the $699 plan. Crypto Data API covers less ground but starts free and allows commercial use on every plan.
We build Crypto Data API, so read this as a vendor's comparison. Every competitor fact below comes from that provider's own pricing or documentation pages, linked under Sources, as of 2026-11-04. Prices and limits change, so check their site before you buy. If we got something wrong, email [email protected] and we'll fix it.
Which one should you use?
you need the widest multi-exchange derivatives coverage (long/short ratios, order-book heatmaps, options max pain, XRP and Hong Kong ETF flows) or a WebSocket liquidation stream, and your budget allows the commercial tiers.
you want to start free, need commercial use without a $299 plan, want Hyperliquid liquidation levels read from real on-chain positions, or are building an AI agent that pays per call.

Where CoinGlass is the better choice
Breadth of derivatives data across exchanges. If you need long/short ratios from several venues, order-book heatmaps, options max pain or a live liquidation WebSocket, CoinGlass has more than we do. It's a mature product, and press reports say CoinMarketCap acquired it in September 2026 while keeping its API and pricing.

Where Crypto Data API is the better choice
Cost to ship something public. CoinGlass's plans under $299 a month are personal use only. Ours allow commercial use from the free tier up.
Hyperliquid, measured rather than modelled. Centralized-exchange heatmaps have to estimate where liquidations sit. Hyperliquid's account state is public, so our liquidation heatmap reads each position's actual liquidation price.
Agents. An AI agent can mint a free key, and pay per request or buy a pass in USDC, without a human signing up.
